Health Ministry
The Health Ministry serves the Pastor first and foremost. We assist in the spiritual emotions of the congregation and comfort the families in their hour of bereavement. We are responsible for attending all funerals. We strive for committed members, with some knowledge of health care, so that we may be equipped to be an outreach in the Church and the community. Our main concern is praying for one another and the well being of others.
North Carolina Ministry
The mission of the ministry is maintain the heritage of North Carolina through membership of individuals who were either born or raised in the state of North Carolina. Our goal is to maintain that heritage through fellowship with local churches as well as Churches and Ministries in the state of North Carolina.
Ushers Ministry
The mission of the Usher’s Ministry provides the people with an introduction to Christ by letting our light shine as we open the doors to the sanctuary; leaving them with a lasting impression that Christ lives within us and the church. The Brown’s Memorial Baptist Church Senior Usher Board began in December, 1932 under the leadership of Sister Inez Smith who served as the president of the Usher Board for fifty (50) years. In 1982, Sister Cleona Purdie became President and served for eight (8) years. We have had several other presidents from 1990 until the present and thank God for their faithfulness during those years. We thank God for bringing us thus far and continuing to give us guidance and favor.
Music Ministry
The mission of the Music Ministry of is to aid and enrich the worship service through song and praise; to create an atmosphere wherein the worshipers are focused on God and prepared to receive the word of God.
Media Ministry
The mission of the Media Ministry is to capture the Worship Services and Activities to provide lasting memories of the experience.
The A.G. Williams, Jr. Greeter’s Ministry
The Courtesy Ministry develops a friendly rapport with our visiting guests and members that exemplifies the love of Christ, upon acknowledgement of their presence through our personal encounter and formal greeting during Worship service.
The Ministry extends a greeting and information to assist our guests with knowledge of our mission and activities. Guest are made to feel a part of the Brown’s Memorial Family as we extend our warmth to feel welcome to return and to take our blessing with them when they return to their home church.
Floral Ministry
The Pauline Watts Floral Ministry lovingly enhances the worship experience by beautifying sacred spaces throughout the church.
Through their dedication and creativity, the Floral Ministry brings life, warmth, and reverence to our church environment, honoring God through the beauty of His creation.
Senior’s Ministry
The Senior’s Ministry promotes fellowship, spiritual enrichment, and meaningful engagement among the senior members of our church. The ministry provides services and activities that support their well‑being and ensures they are remembered and celebrated during special holidays and occasions throughout the year.
Evangelism Community Outreach Ministry
An Evangelism Community Outreach Ministry with no boundaries to Spread the Good News that God can save anybody. A ministry spreading the good news of the gospel. Jesus saves; God loves you. God is able to pick you up from where you are. God has no respect of person. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (St. John 3:16).
